PT Dairi Prima Mineral (DPM), a joint venture between IDX-listed PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk and China Nonferrous Metal Industry’s Foreign Engineering & Construction (NFC China), holds a Contract of Work (CoW) to explore for minerals in a 27,420-hectares area (later reduced to 24,636 hectares) located in the North Sumatra and Aceh provinces. It is currently based in Dairi's Sopokomil village, near the caldera of Lake Toba. DPM’s Anjing Hitam and Lae Jahe Projects have 11 million tones of ore reserves, and it has one of the highest grade of Zinc deposit in the world (11.5% Zn ,6.8% Pb).
