64th Sessions of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Bodies (SB64)

The 64th Sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SB 64) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will take place at the World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB) in Bonn, Germany, from 8-18 June 2026. The SB64 brings together the UNFCCC's two subsidiary bodies – SBI 64 and SBSTA 64 – convening global delegates, observers, and media to negotiate the details of international climate policy ahead of COP31. Through our partners AFA and GIGA, the Land Matrix will participate in ongoing discussions on how climate mitigation efforts can strengthen, rather than undermine, the rights, tenure security, and agency of smallholders, pastoralists, Indigenous Peoples, and local communities.
