In May 14, 2015, RCI established Roxas Green Energy Corporation (“RGEC”), a wholly owned subsidiary
to venture in renewable power generation. RGEC planned to develop solar power plants using the real properties owned by RCI in Nasugbu, Batangas. However, after completing the initial predevelopment requirements, permits and land preparations, RGEC deferred full development of the project and shifted to look for possible joint venture arrangements with major power firms. The pre-development cost was written down in 2021.
