Sembcorp Industries is a Singapore-based multinational. Through its subsidiaries, it is the ultimate investor funding the project. Capital for the wind farm was funneled from Sembcorp’s global operations into SEIL. This reflects foreign direct investment: Singaporean parent -> Indian subsidiary -> project SPV. Sembcorp’s backing ensured financing for the $400+ million project (approximate capital cost for 300 MW).
