The project was developed by ib vogt, Infinity Energy and Solizer. Abu Dhabi Future Energy, Infinity Energy and Solizer are currently owning the project. In September 2014, the project was initiated as part of Egyptian government's Sustainable Energy Strategy 2035.[2] Initially, NASA had aided in finding the best location to establish the solar park.Construction costed US$4 billion.It was established in partnership with the private sector and specialized international expertise.
