The selected land plot was evaluated as unsuitable for agricultural use. Based on the engineering and survey work, it is concluded that the direct land allotment for each wind turbine will be a circle with a diameter of not more than 30 meters. The land between the wind turbines is clear and can be used for cattle grazing and other purposes.

In 2012, held a presentation of the investment idea in the administration of the municipality Temryuksky district of Krasnodar region. An investment agreement between the Kuban Ministry of Energy, Temryuk District Administration, Wind Turbine Company and Elawan Energy on the construction of the wind farm was signed at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi in February 2018. In November 2018, the leadership of the Spanish company Elawan Energy visited Kuban and together with the regional administration discussed and approved the site for the construction of the wind power plant. On 21.09.2020, a land plot was formed for lease for the construction of the Beregovaia WPP and was put on the cadastral register.

Media data indicate different information about the Beregovaia WPP. Some media reported that in November 2018 Spanish company in cooperation with a Russian company plans to build a wind power plant in the village of Beregovoy in Zaporozhsky rural settlement Temryukskiy region. The company was planning to commission the first wind farm in Kuban in 2020. Other media write another data - start of construction in 2017, put into operation in 2018. As of 2023, there is no information about official opening and commissioning of the wind farm.
