The reservoir covers an area of 388 hectares (ha) extending back to the tailrace area of the upstream 180 MW Nalubaale HPP and 200 MW Kiira HPPs. In addition, UETCL owns the power line and the land rights associated with this line that transports the power from the dam to the power stations.
