Construction of the line was begun some 10 years back. However, it was delayed due to the slackness of performance by the contractor, the local people's obstruction on the 'right of way' of the transmission line, the delay in approving cutting down trees on the right of way, among other reasons.
A report in January of 2019 by the Kathmandu Post stated they had obtained Forest Clearance, and by May of 2019,m the Setopati reported that it was in commercial operation.

Government of Nepal will form a Compensation Fixation Committee (CFC) under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer (CDO) of the district. The other members to be included in the committee comprise of - Chief of Land Revenue, an Officer assigned by CDO, representative from District Development Committee (DDC)3 , Concerned Project Director. While determining the compensation, the Committee has to consider relevant acts and periodic guidelines of the Government in compliance with World Bank policy and guidelines.
The total cost of the project estimated is NRs. 2,01,19,95,844.00
