Overall comment | A local news reported that there was also a second dam called Nam Sana 2 dam which located in Namphod village, Kasi district, Vientiane province. The project owner signed MOU with Vientiane province on 25th May 2015 and sign the concession agreement (CA) on 6th March 2019.
39families from Namphod village were affected by Nam Sana 2 dam construction. The project owner allocated the cost of 1.4 billion kip for compensation work.
The local news reported that the compensation committee from province and district level had meeting to agree on the compensation rates: for agricultural land with land documents would be compensated 3,000 kip/square meter, the agricultural land with no land documents would be compensated 2,750 kip/square meter. And for the crop damage, the compensation rate based on the agreement document.
