Xekaman 1 Hydropower, installed capacity: 322 MW, developed by an independent power producer (IPP) The Xekaman 1 dam was part of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) worth US$1 billion signed on April 6, 1994, between the Lao government and Hydro-Electric Commission Enterprise Corporation (HECEC). On August 10, 2016, Xekaman 1 Power Company Limited (under Viet Lao Power Joint Stock Company) and Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) successfully put the 230kV transmission line into operation.
