By Feb 2010, By February 2010, local governments had already allocated 8,078 ha to the company, land formerly belong to 7 villages, 1,291 households, and 7,331 people. 65% of the allocated land had already been cleared, out of which 61% planted with rubber. Besides, HAGL JSC is active trought its Lao subsidiary HAAC in the following fields: 1 Rubber 2 Sugarcane 3 Palm oil 4 Electricity -> Hydropower 5 Hotel & Services 6 Constructions Buildings -> Airport, Hotel, New Town 7 Mining 8 Logging 9 Tourism Future earnings are expected to be derived mainly from rubber, palm oil, electricity, and sugar cane, where the yearly earnings from its rubber plantations, when fully operational, will be highest with around USD 30 million per years (Annual report HAGL JSC, 2013) Hoang Anh Attapeu Company (HAAC) is HAGL JSC’s main subsidiary in the Lao PDR. Another subsidiary is “Hoang Anh - Quang Minh Rubber JSC” (64.66 per cent of the shares hold by HAGL JSC)
