- The location was taken from a map in the Report "Damming the Irrawaddy" on page 22. - The Exact coordinates were taken by looking at satellite imagery (e.g. google maps) of the location (confluence of N'Mai and Mali River). Parts of the construction site can be clearly seen on the imagery. - There are a couple of statements regarding the area flooded. The smaller one (40500 ha) was used and can be found in the paper written by Foran et al. 2017. However, this is not a open data paper. Therefore, I just linked the science direct website of the paper and didn't upload the paper itself.
