The company Druzhba Nova is a cluster of the Kernel agricultural holding. Kernel bought Druzhba Nova in 2013 (150 mln dollars).

On March 23, public hearings were held in the village of Khoroshe Ozero, part of the Krutivska community in Nizhyn district. The villagers accused the agricultural enterprise of trying to install a unit for the production of liquid mineral fertilizers, i.e. urea-ammonia mixtures. The reason for the disagreement was that the company would have to bore a water well to produce fertilizers, and that water in the wells would disappeared. People were also concerned about the potential environmental damage that such an installation would cause.

There was a conflict and a dispute in court between the landowner of one of the land plots and the company. The landlord wanted to terminate the lease agreement, but taking into account the land law, the company complied with all the requirements and the court dismissed the claim. Through the website of the register of companies in Ukraine, it is possible to see that a company has debts on land lease payments to landlords. Therefore, land conflicts are still present today.

In Borznyansky district, an airplane of Druzhba-Nova, an agricultural company belonging to the Kernel Group, sprayed sunflowers with pesticides. Along with the sunflowers, the villagers' gardens were also affected. The village council assumes that the technology of oilseed cultivation was violated, as the spraying was done in high humidity, and the poison cloud rose with the morning fog and dispersed the dangerous chemicals to the villages adjacent to the fields. As it turned out later, trees and vegetables were affected not only in Khoroshne Ozero, but also in the neighboring village of Syvolozh.

In February 2021, an agreement was reached with the company and a memorandum was signed, the main point of which is the obligation of the elevator to set up cleaning mechanisms to avoid environmental damage and threats to the lives of the population of Nizhyn. Agreement "On the use of social partnership funds dated February 03, 2021". The social agreement was concluded between the executive committee of the Nizhyn city council and Druzhba Nova LLC.

The agricultural company allocates funds in the amount of 850000.00 for the development of the city's infrastructure. Over the summer 2019, educational centers in Chernihiv, Poltava and Sumy regions received significant assistance from Druzhba Nova (Kernel) and the together with Kernel Charitable Foundation. The Company allocated more than 1 million UAH to carry out routine repairs in the region's educational institutions, organize school camps and excursions for students.

The company directly produces animal feed mixtures. Types of economic activity: cultivation of grain and industrial crops, cattle breeding, pig breeding, provision of services in animal husbandry production of oil, production of ready-made animal feed.

EU is important partner

EU is important partner. According to the register, the company exports to Switzerland the most. There were also exports to Cyprus, the Virgin Islands, Singapore, Germany, Austria, Iran, Latvia, Spain, and the Netherlands. Wheat and corn were exported the most, and additional rye, sunflower oil, and soybeans.

Druzhba Nova has branches "Belovodsky Elevator" (Sumy region) and "Nezhinsky Elevator" (Chernihiv region).

Two elevators and livestock complexe

The company has three permits for special water use: №213/ПЛ/49д-20 dated from 21.12.2020 to 21.12.2023, №23/СМ/49д-22 dated from 01.07.2022 to 01.07.2027 and №42/ЧГ/49д-22 dated from 06.10.2022 to 06.10.2025. The purpose of water use of the agricultural company is drinking and sanitary needs, production needs, irrigation, water transfer to the population, water transfer to secondary water users.

Water is taken from underground and surface sources. In total, the company operates approximately 60 wells in different districts of Chernihiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.

The company has a water intake limit of 295.233 thousand m3/year.

In the permit for special water use, the limit of water use for irrigation is 6 600 m3 / year.
