In the area of the Plantations Socfinaf Ghana Limited (PSG) project, specifically within the former Subri Industrial Plantation, displacements of local communities have been reported due to the expansion of rubber and oil palm plantations. Investigations have pointed to PSG's operations as being responsible for the destruction of tropical forests, directly impacting indigenous and local communities. However, no specific information was found confirming whether the displaced people were consulted beforehand or if compensation or resettlement measures were implemented for the affected communities.

Conflicts related to the operations of Plantations Socfinaf Ghana Limited (PSG) have been reported. Research has indicated that PSG's exploitation of rubber and palm oil resources has contributed to deforestation and the displacement of indigenous communities in Ghana. Additionally, in September 2023, PSG workers in Daboase, in the Western Region, went on strike to protest what they described as "poor working conditions." Employees claimed that the company had violated the Collective Bargaining Agreement, denying them incentives such as bonuses, pension payments, and risk allowances.
