Comment on negotiation status

The construction of a sugar factory in the Savelugu municipality has been on the drawing board since former President J. A. Kufuor’s administration. For example, the Ministry of Trade and Industry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Marubeni Corporation in 2014. The implementation of the MoU is expected to span 15 months. Several investors have shown interest, but never signed a contract.
