the company had already 31000 ha of own land in operation and 50000 ha in operation via CF off the lease before 2000. In 2000 it announced plans to expand massively, which "would require a further 40,000 hectares for plantations and another 80,000 hectares for contract farming" (http://www.wrm.org.uy/oldsite/bulletin/36/Thailand.html ). There is no more current info available on this plan
