In 2013, the indigenous people of Lamandau ask that the area that has been cultivated by the company be returned to the community of their inheritors.

In May 2018, a number of village representatives came to the Central Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Building, reporting allegations of legal violations by PT Gemareksa Mekarsari and PT Satria Hupa. Means (SHS) referring to illegal forest cultivation, grabbing of ex-transmigrant lands, and fraudulent partnerships with plasma farmers whose plasma land is considered the company's core land.

In May 2015, hundreds of tons of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) of PT Gemareksa Mekarsari spilled and polluted the Kumai river, West Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan.

PT Gemareksa Mekarsari had remaining production arrears to the cooperative from May to Nov 2018 (with arrears from several periods). These are related to the livelihoods of members of the nine cooperatives which reaches 8461 people.

The company manager in the field acknowledged and agreed to the community plantation. According to the Central Kalimantan Provincial Regulation No.5 / 2011, plantation companies that have plantation business permits (IUP) or plantation business permits for cultivation (IUP-B) are required to build gardens for the community covering at least 20 percent of the total area cultivated.

Bukit Indah village road was repaired. One of the CSR programs is the provision of scholarship assistance deemed necessary and worthy of receiving the scholarship. Each student receives assistance of Rp. 4,200,000, - and the delivery of scholarship assistance is represented by the parents of the student concerned.

The Regional Executive for the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples of the Archipelago (PD AMAN) Lamandau reported that PT Gemareksa Mekarsari had seized an area of 856 hectares of indigenous peoples from the area of the HGU coordinate permit granted to the palm oil company.
