Comment on contract farming

In the area of Ayenouan, contract farmers get paid to a percentage of the net profits derived from the palm oil produced from their land. In 2015, the company signed a groundbreaking agreement with a smallholder, whereby the smallholder will be partly paid in company shares in exchange for palm fruits.
