Jadora prioritizes hiring and training staff from local communities to fill employment positions related to the project. Local people have been recruited and trained as forest evaluators, monitors and protectors with on-the-job conservation and development education. These jobs provide employment opportunities previously only available in the sustainable logging and palm oil industry. The in-country teams have employed over 30 local Congolese who have gained extensive training and experience in techniques to assess carbon stocks as well as tree identification.
