"farm has been impacted by the onset of Panama Disease since 2014. Current measures to both contain the disease and introduce disease resistant banana varieties are underway in order to maintain productivity." In March 2018 Norfund exits project. It is not yet clear whether the project will continue. It may continue but produce other crops due to destruction of banana crop by Panama Disease.
