Started as state-owned plantation in 1967. The community claims it owns the land, leading to conflicts with the government that decided to go into a partnership with the Islamic Development Bank and Malaysian operators. Since that agreement ended in 2015 the plantation has been neglected, with Planting Naturals recently leasing this land.
