In September 2009, Randgold and Anglo Gold acquired 70% of Kibali project through acquisition of Moto Goldmines- Australian company - (where Moto Goldmines had 70% and Sokimo had 30% stake in the project). In December 2009, Randgold and Anglo Gold acquired a further 20% from Sokimo.
