The project has taken an initiative to portion about 2000 ha of project land with access to two dams to be utilized for some years by the local pastoralists. This will facilitate their preparedness for sustainable living and grazing after being resettled. The pastoralists will for some years be trained in sustainable grazing, pastoralism and provided basic education in reading and writing to improve their livelihood.
