implementation delayed due to land conflicts (stand: June 2011); originally it was intended to plant rice in an area of 6000 ha in the initial phase beginning in September 2011.On 14 August 2009 the $30 million Bela Vista-Rice Project was launched in Maputo by the consortium formed by Libya Africa Investment Portfolio (LAP) and the Mozambican company Ubuntu SA.
