JMI proposes to support voluntary farmers through better access to credit, technical advice, and a guarantee to buy their production at a fixed price. For the moment, JMI already works with 17 districts of the Kita region. In each village, the contracted farmers are organized in a Village Management Committee. Each district of intervention created a Cooperative of Jatropha producers, gathering the Village Management Committees. Then, the different cooperatives are represented by the Union of Jatropha producers cooperatives of Kita.
