Based on Validation Report: It is observed that the cleaning of PV modules will be requiring huge quantity of water annually. However, the impact on water table due to cleaning of PV modules is not considered in sustainable development matrix in GS passport.

The estimated water usage for panel cleaning is 8 litres/panel/month. The cleaning frequency is once a month in dry season. The washed water will contaminatedby dust only, no chemical is used. The washed water will fall on ground and flow through in to storm drain system. The water in storm draining can be used for green areas and general cleaning such as washing road
