Detailed electricity generation information
Electricity generation
- [2024, current] Solar (Thermal system) 310 ha
Currently installed capacity: 50 MW
Comment on electricity generation
Around 100 GWh annually, with planned improvements to boost output. The 50-MW concentrating solar power (CSP) station has a maximum operating system of 530°C, and can accumulate enough saturated steam to allow it to produce electricity at full capacity for two hours after sunset. The project is estimated to eliminate the production of 183,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. The solar field itself occupies 310 hectares of this total area. 100 MW solar thermal plant can take up between 200 to 400 hectares depending on the technology used and other factors.
