The Khi Solar One concentrated solar power plant, located in South Africa, was initially owned by Khi Solar One Pty. Ltd., with a shareholding structure consisting of Abengoa (51%), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) (29%), and Khi Community Trust (20%), ensuring direct benefits for local communities. In 2024, Abengoa signed an agreement to sell its stake to the Spanish group Cox, subject to regulatory approval. If the transaction is finalized, the new shareholding structure will be: Cox (51%), IDC (29%), and Khi Community Trust (20%).
