The land was allocated by the Ministry of Energy. Overall, the project was allocated an area of 285.1 hectares (ha), however, the wind farm footprint is expected to encompass around 178 ha area. But, according to the Presidential Decree, the wind farm have been allocated 149.93 ha based on the final project layouts submitted by ACWA Power to the government on 30th June 2022.

Comment on negotiation status
In July 2019, ACWA submitted a proposal to build a wind farm in the Nurota Mountains. After the State Geology Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan rejected giving the land in Nurota district and proposed land by SGC as not accepted by ACWA Power, Ministry of Energy proposed that ACWA comes up with new site in Bukhara and Navoiy regions.
Project Agreement signed on 24th January 2021 which included the site coordinates for Bash wind farm.
Based on the information in the project documentation, the company was supposed to receive a Land Allotment Orders on March 19-23, 2021 (according to Data source #8)

The company’s press service reported on Aug.8, 2023 that ACWA Power had installed the first wind turbine at the Bash wind farm project. The project will be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
