Comment on electricity generation
The Soetwater Wind Farm has a capacity of 147 MW and an annual generation of 585 GWh and features Vestas V136-4.2 MW turbines, the largest in Africa. The primary components of the Soetwater Wind Farm include the following:Up to 56 wind turbines, appropriately spaced to make use of the wind resource on the site. The generating capacity of the facility will depend on the final turbineselected for implementation but will be limited to 140MW at the point of connection with the Eskom grid. The facility would be operated as a single facility with each turbine being between 2 MW and 3.5 MW in capacity.
