The activities planned are:
- Inclusive consultations on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and Community Development Strategy (CDS) goals
- Recruiting women representatives/community mobilizers
- Gender equity awareness consultations
- Facilitating access to local job opportunities
- Creating gender- and socially-inclusive workplaces
- Inventory of: (i) local people interested and available to work on the project, (ii) the existing skill levels of the workforce, and (iii) required training needs in the project area
- Skilled and unskilled employment opportunities in the project area
- Life and financial management skills training for displaced households (HH)
- Vocational training for eligible HHs on new skills for project jobs/opportunities
- Collecting and monitoring sex-disaggregated data on the local workforce
- Offering eligible households access to microfinance assistance for enterprise development
- Providing financial and administration skills training and market assistance
- Training on informal cottage industry skills and opportunities, including sewing, arts and crafts, veterinary services, agro-forestry, etc.
- Offering Micro Enterprise Development training and financial support through seed capital
- Formation and promotion of self-help groups (SHG) for credit and savings activities
- Supporting the formation/affiliation to "skills and knowledge-based" community groups (e.g., SHGs, CSOs, CBOs)
- Establishing campaigns to raise awareness about basic health, safety, hygiene, and nutrition, and improving quality of life
- Conducting literacy campaigns and carrying out programs to increase people's access to education
- Documenting challenges, opportunities, successes, recommendations, and lessons learnt
- Disaggregating data by sex, caste, and ethnicity, specific parameters, and indicators
- Establishing comprehensive corporate policies informed by GESI considerations (including assessments on resettlement and activities focused on women's entitlements to compensation and livelihood benefits)
