Although no displacement in this project, when the dam was built originally, about 2000 people were displaced.

According to a media report: Discontent has arisen among the local population surrounding the farm. They allege that the farm has restricted their access to areas they have traditionally relied on for their livelihoods. Thongphon Mobmai, a local fisherman, exemplifies this concern. He reports a significant decline in his catch, resulting in reduced income. Furthermore, fishermen are now required to travel greater distances and are confined to designated fishing zones established by authorities. These limitations, according to the locals, are direct consequences of the solar farm's operation.

The project is expected to create jobs and generate income for the local community, boosting the economy of Ubon Ratchathani province, there is also plans to turn it into tourist area.
