New Forests Company Limited has been granted a concession of 8,281 hectares of central forest reserve land to develop a commercial timber plantation. Within this area, a carbon credits project under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has been designated, covering 2,481.5 hectares. This specific project includes 490.3 hectares planted with eucalyptus and 1,991.2 hectares with pine. Additionally, within the concession area, 410 hectares of High Conservation Value Forest have been reserved, which are not suitable for planting and are intended for environmental conservation.
