The deal represents the overall intentions of Qatar (through Qatar Investment Authority - a state-owned company) to invest in Ukrainian agriculture. Though the first intentions were expressed in 2010, not many negotiations took place throughout this time, primarily because of the unstable political situation. However, there is at least one concluded deal on investment to Ukrainian sea port (deal - 9562)
