Water sources of the village are used by the solar park. The village had 5 waterbodies, 1 inside the village, 4 on the government “wasteland”. The waterbodies on the wasteland were enclosed inside the park boundaries (Kaur 2022).

Some water comes from the former water bodies used by the villagers. Most water is derived from surface water delivered 35km away from the Kachchh Branch Canal of the Sardar Sarovar dam on the Narmada River (Stock 2021b:7). Water from reservoir is also used (Masterplan, Kaur 2022).

The water line to the solar park passes through land of the villagers but they are not receiving compensation (Stock 2021b:7).

64m3 per two weeks = 1664m3/yr. (Stock 2021b:7). The main water sources were taken away (Kaur 2022).
