In line with the VCS requirements, a local stakeholder consultation meeting has been organized on 21 December 2017 for both La Carlota and Manapla Solar Power Plants On going, there are several Stakeholder consultations / engagements were arranged during entire monitoring period i.e., 26th April 2020 –25th May 2023.

All the participants supported the development of La Carlota and Manapla solar power plants invested by Negros Island Solar Power Inc. All of them noted that the best thing they like about the project is the utilization of clean energy, which is seen as a key opportunity to save from imported fuel and help to reduce the polluted gases emissions which normally caused by fired fuel plants instead.

As mentioned above PP has established and implemented relevant grievance process to obtained stakeholders concerns / grievances and address them in systematic manner. There are no grievances found received during entire monitoring period. Grievance registers kept at both project sites were verified to confirm this and found correct.

Besides providing a sustainable and renewable energy source, ACEN has employed an environmental initiative (river clean up and tree planting) and an educational drive (on renewable energy) The project has many positive socio-economic and environmental impacts on the region. The environmental impact of a RE project is directly or indirectly relevant to a number of national environmental objectives. Renewable energy would partly reduce climate impact that is geared in establishing ecologically sustainable energy utilization Multiple donations during COVID and to other local stakeholders/institutions suchas the local government and schools
