ACEN’s solar plants – Alaminos Solar in Laguna, Palauig Solar in Zambales, IslaSol, MonteSol, and SacaSol in Negros – have since enjoyed plentiful harvests since the program rolled out last year. The harvested crops include pechay, raddish, bell pepper, eggplant, okra, bitter gourd, sweet potato, Malabar nightshade, banana, bottle gourd, peanut, papaya, taro, tomato, alugbati, mustard, Chinese cabbage, tiger baby melon, squash, okra, ampalaya, chili radish, turmeric, mung bean, longyard beans, pineapple, lemon, lime, calamansi and more.

GigaSol Alaminos can generate sustainable energy for about 80,000 homes while avoiding 111,034.37 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MT CO2e) of greenhouse gases. AC Energy has integrated a circular approach in the solar farm’s construction site, with 32,540 kg of plastic waste already upcycled into eco-bricks and utilized in building the solar plant facilities
