The 7.6 km squared consists of 49 parcels of land that have been leased by GWRE from the local community land owners (mainly Al-Rajef, Dlaghah and Taybeh) for the development of the Project boundary.Such leased lands are spread over an area of 26km squared which represents the Project boundary.

The Rajef Area was selected for the proposed Project and the Developer signed land lease agreements for the selected lands with theowners for 29 years. The land have been leased by GWRE from the localcommunity land owners (mainly Al-Rajef, Dlaghah and Taybeh)

The 82MW Al-Rajef onshore wind project in the Ma’an Governorate in Jordan is being developed by Green Watts Renewable Energy (GWRE) on behalf of the project owner Alcazar Energy, a company based in the UAE. The $184.6m project is the first major wind project being developed under Jordan’s renewable energy programme.Construction is set to commence in 2016 and is expected to be completed in 22 months. First power from the facility is scheduled for June 2018
