Through an extensive network of irrigation canals water is sourced from the Nile.

There are three main precision irrigation systems used in Al Dahra’s Salheya farm; centre pivot, drip, and sprinkler systems. The Emirati company had installed three additional pumps on the canal contouring the farm, thus supplying water to the farm’s 3 main zones. The abstracted water is channeled through an inlet to a reservoir and from the reservoir the company uses 8 pumps to distribute water to the rest of the farm via an automated high tech system.
