.According to its website (http://www.adecoagro.com/index.php?idioma=ingles&seccion_generica_id=128) Adeagro owns over 270 000 ha in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and wants to expand itself. In 2005, Adeagro purchased three farms in the brazilian Cerrados. In 2006, it bought a coffee farm in the western Bahia; in 2007 it acquired 50% of other coffee farm. In 2008, Adeagro opened a sugar rafinery in Mato Grosso do Sul, which transform the produce of 55 000 ha, part of which is its own property. The same as in other sugar rafinery in Minas Gerais, which processes 14 000 ha.
