Customary use by villages: Shifting agriculture is the primary activity in the villages with women carrying out planting, weeding and harvesting and men, land clearing . The staple food crops are cassava and banana. Farmers use their fields for a few years and then clear new land or return to old fallows. Hunting is another important activity for households. Artisanal logging is practiced by communities for both household use and for commerce.
