Many villages in the upstream and downstream of the Xekaman 3 dam did not receive information about estimated losses to fisheries, wild foods and land prior to construction. According to the project document for CDM, 57 households with around 342 people were affected due to the project. No people were dislocated. Compensation and support were given to affected people. The project was also being evaluated for WCD (World Commission on Dams) compliance.
