It seems the deal did not push through. (http://farmlandgrab.org/5738) For a while in 2009, Gulf investors showed signs of investing outside of their region. Some deals were pit on hold or dropped. In 2008, Al Qudra Holding promised to acquire 1M acred in multiple countries including Thailand but in 2011 there were no firm sightings of either land or harvest
