The company has planted 1,886 hectares of oil palm at these agricultural sites (Bonua and Aboisso). Dekel has contracts with over 5,000 local smallholders and cooperatives covering 27,000 hectares of existing plantations. The contract with smallholder farmers covers an 17,000 ha of land. They signed long-term supply contracts with Dekel-Oil, which has undertaken to purchase all of their production and to take over the transport of fresh fruit to the factory. The price paid to farmers is set by the Interprofessional Association of the Oil Palm Sector (AIPH). This award takes into account the quality of the production received. Dekel-Oil signed a contract to purchase the production of the members of the Coopalen cooperative, whose plantations together cover an area of 10,000 hectares. The 20-year contract becomes effective at the start of effective operation of the mill (marked by the production of 1,000 tonnes per year
