From October 1987 – Oct, 1996, a period spanning nine years PPCL was in voluntary liquidation before its creditors agreed to buy the company through a debt equity swap in settlement of outstanding debts owed. Hence, in 1996, a new company came into being called “Pamol plantations Limited” (PPL), which now took over the assets of PPCL and the creditors became the shareholders. With the introduction of OHADA, its in applicable provisions, Pamol Plantations Limited (PPL) became Pamol Plantations Public Limited Company (PPPlc).
