There are three Indigenous Lands officially recognized by the Federal Government in the municipality of Aracruz: Caieiras Velhas II Indigenous Land: Inhabited by Guarani, Guarani Kaiowá, Guarani Mbya, and Guarani Ñandeva. It covers 57 hectares and has 20 inhabitants. Comboios Indigenous Land: Inhabited by Tupiniquim. It covers 3,872 hectares and has 849 inhabitants. Tupiniquim Indigenous Land: Inhabited by Guarani, Guarani Kaiowá, Guarani Mbya, and Tupiniquim. It covers 14,282 hectares and has 4,067 inhabitants.
