In the municipality, there are two agrarian reform settlements under the responsibility of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform: Mutum Settlement Project (with 15,801.765 hectares and 340 settled families) and Pedreira Settlement Project (with 87.9214 hectares and 9 settled families). The lands acquired by the company did not belong to the community. The environmental impacts also affect the rural population as a whole. So far, there are no reports of conflicts regarding these territories.
