Comment on consultation of local community
There is a legal request for the exploitation of the land which they occupy.

Rejection
Comment on community reaction
The rejection of the 1500 peasants is the reason for illegal possession of land by SABmiller, which supports that the company exploited the land without legal permission to do so. Given the situation the company is based on a legal remedy which is a trade protection agreement between the British and Honduran governments, which despite this agreement local families tried 4 times to recover the land, suffering the same number of evictions.

Displacement of people

Comment on displacement of people
The 1500 farmers organized through the Association for Peasant Development Progress (ADCP) and the National Farm Workers (CNTC) were displaced from the land in an attempt to recover the 3,644 the company has occupied, had regained part but were taken by the company with the help of local authorities.

After government made the expropriation of lands of company, started a process of occupation of these lands by an organization of the peasents landless that they were evicted several time. SABmiller is the owner, continuos with repression with the help of local authorities remains, which until that information is available, have been used to force the order to suppress attempts to possession of the land. In year 2014, the Honduran Supreme Court of Justice ruled in favor of the company in order to return its expropriated lands.
